Man burnt to death after meat stolen from butchery found under his mattress

A middle-aged man has been burnt to death for allegedly stealing meat from a butchery in Kisii County.

Addressing the media, Andrew Bogeta, the suspect’s brother said that a mob attacked Denis Nyaega on Monday morning, claiming that he had stolen meat.

This was after some meat was found in his house under a mattress.

Bogeta said that his brother was a good person, loved by his family and community.

The body was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.

Kisii County Police Commander Chabel Munene investigations on the incident have started.
