Five people were killed on Sunday and several others injured in two attacks by improvised explosives suspected to have been planted by Al-Shabaab militants in Garissa County.
Three people were killed in the first attack in which an ambulance traveling from Sangailu to Holugho Sub-county hospital ran over the IED.
The Ambulance driver and two female patients died on the spot, while two children belonging to one of the women who was killed, survived.
In the second attack, two police officers who were were responding to the attack were killed after their landcruiser also ran over an IED.
